Ingredients
Method
- Prepare the Beef Filling
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease. Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook for another minute until fragrant. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Add Bacon and Cheese
- Once the beef mixture has cooled, stir in the chopped crispy bacon and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly combined.
- Prepare the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the crescent dough or puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. If using crescent dough, press the seams together to form one sheet. Cut into rectangles or triangles.
- Assemble the Roll-ups
- Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture onto each piece of dough. Roll tightly around the filling and pinch the seams closed. Arrange seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with Garlic Butter
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush the garlic butter generously over each roll-up.
- Bake
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. The cheese should be melted and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Drain the beef well to prevent soggy pastry.
Allow the filling to cool before assembling.
Seal the edges tightly to keep the cheese from leaking.
Puff pastry creates an extra flaky texture, while crescent dough makes softer roll-ups.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest results.
