Ingredients You Will Need:

For the Chicken Filling

  • 500g boneless chicken breast, finely chopped or torn.
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (good ones are fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (add more according to the taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (Optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of the dried oregano or Italian seasoning.

For the Cheesy Mixture

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated.
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup or 3 tablespoons cream cheese or thick mayonnaise.
  • 2 tablespoons parsley or coriander, finely chopped
  • For Assembling
  • 4-6 soft flour tortillas/ wraps.
  • Butter or oil for toasting

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Garlic Chicken

Warm Olive oil or butter in a pan on medium color. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant, making sure it does not burn.

Place the chicken in the pan and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt, black pepper, paprika, chili flakes and oregano. Bake until the chicken is done and slightly golden.

Switch off the heat and leave the chicken to cool down a bit.

Step 2 Resetting the Cheesy Filling

Add mozzarella, cheddar and cream cheese (or mayonnaise) to a mixing bowl together with chopped herbs. Cooked chicken may be added and then stirred until all is well coated.

The combination must be creamy, cheesy and thick enough not to fall apart in the wrap.

Step 3: Assemble the Wraps

Prepare a flat tortilla on a table. Spoon the chicken-cheese mixture in large quantities over the center. Roll the sides in, and wrap it up tight. Do the same with the rest of the tortillas.

Step 4: Toast Until Golden

Pre-heat a non-stick pan in medium heat and grease it with a little butter or oil. Lay the wraps with seam-side down and then toast 2-3 minutes per side until it is golden and crispy. The cheese within it is not to be thick.

Take out of pan and allow to cool down a minute and then slice.
