- Make the Taco Shells:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the crushed Oreo cookies and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Pour in the melted butter.
- Mix until the crumbs resemble wet sand.
- Press the mixture into taco-shaped molds or drape over an inverted muffin tin lined with foil.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly set.
- Allow the shells to cool completely before removing them from the molds.
- Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Mix until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Assemble the Dessert Tacos:
- Spoon or pipe the cheesecake filling into each cooled taco shell.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with crushed Oreo cookies.
- Drizzle with melted chocolate or chocolate syrup.
- Garnish each taco with a whole Oreo cookie if desired.
- Chill and Serve:
- Arrange the assembled tacos on a serving tray.
- Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes before serving.
- Dust lightly with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve chilled.
