- Prepare the Chicken
- If using raw chicken, cook the chicken breasts until fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken using two forks.
- Set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic.
- Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth.
- Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the Cheese
- Reduce the heat to low.
- Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add the mozzarella cheese.
- Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Combine the Chicken
- Add the shredded chicken to the Alfredo sauce.
- Stir until evenly coated.
- Simmer for 3–5 minutes until heated through and creamy.
- Toast the Buns
- Spread butter on the inside of each bun.
- Toast in a skillet until lightly golden.
- Assemble the Sloppy Joes
- Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
- Place the top bun over the filling.
- Serve immediately.

Rotisserie chicken is a great time-saving option.
Freshly grated Parmesan melts much smoother than pre-shredded cheese.
Toasting the buns helps prevent them from becoming soggy.
